MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Held at La Trobe University
Thursday, 29th August, 2002, commencing at 5.00pm

1. Present

3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the 2001 Annual General Meeting held at La Trobe University, Wednesday, 22nd August, 2001 have been circulated. M. Sheil/P. Cullis moved that the minutes be accepted as a true and correct record of the meeting.


4. Business Arising from the Previous Meeting

5. Society Reports
1. President's Report
   
   The retiring President, John Traeger, presented his final report. He indicated that the Society was in a healthy financial position.

2. Treasurer's Report
   
   John Traeger presented the Treasurer's Report on behalf of Veronica Borrett. M. Sheil/Z. Harvey moved that the report be accepted.

3. ANZSMS19 Report
   
   John Traeger presented the ANZSMS19 Conference Report on behalf of Richard O'Hair.


6. Election of Central Committee

The following members were elected to the committee:

Richard O'Hair	Vice-President	(J. Traeger/S. Duck)
Kevin Downard	Secretary	(M. Sheil/J. Traeger)
Veronica Borrett	Treasurer	(M. Sheil/J. Traeger)
Noel Davies	Committee Member	(J. Traeger/M. Sheil)
Paul Greenwood	Committee Member	(M. Sheil/J. Traeger)
John Traeger	Committee Member	(M. Sheil/Z. Harvey)


There being no further nominations, all of the above were elected unopposed.

Paul Greenwood was reappointed as the Public Officer.


7. Any Other Business

The retiring President, John Traeger, was thanked for his efforts in fulfilling this role over the past four years.

The meeting closed at 5.30 pm.
